Pulsar dB Ultrasonic Transducers

img   Pulsar's innovative dB range of transducers has taken ultrasonic level measurement into a new era. Unlike the high voltage, frequency dependent transducers of other manufacturers, which require special, protected interconnect cables, or low powered transducers built with intrinsic safety rather than performance in mind, the dB series combines low electrical power that meets intrinsic safety requirements with extraordinary high sonic power to give range and performance. Short blanking distances and narrow beam angles improve performance, especially when the signals are being analysed by Pulsar's DATEM software. Options are available for cable mounting, flange mountings and hygienic fittings, and an aiming kit is available for solids measurement applications. dB transducers are teamed with any of Pulsar's Ultra or blackbox ranges of control units to provide fantastic versatility, whatever the application.

Endress+ Hauser Capacitance Level Measurement

img   Capacitance level systems provide level detection in applications with liquids, solids, slurries and interfaces providing effective measurement solutions in a wide range of processes.

A broad range of configurations is available from Endress+Hauser including rigid rod, flexible cable, and sanitary units to suit many and varies applications.
  • Water and waste water
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical industries
  • Food and beverage industry
The Endress+Hauser Liquicap T is particularly suited to small measuring ranges, cistern measurements and aggressive liquids such as acids and alkalis. Measurement is made independent of the tank material (plastic, stainless steel or concrete) or the tank shape. Liquicap T is an ideal solution for inventorying material and optimising logistics (inventory control). No calibration is necessary as the unit is preconfigured from factory 0 %...100 % according to probe length ordered.

The Endress & Hauser Liquicap M compact transmitter is used for the continuous level measurement of liquids. From a conductivity of 100µs/cm, the measurement is independent of the value for the Dielectric constant (DK) of the liquid. As a result fluctuations in DK do not affect the measured value. The probes leave the factory calibrated to the ordered probe length (0 %...100 %) thereby facilitating easy and rapid commissioning. Other benefits include:
  • Suitable for interface measurement
  • Material in contact with the process made of corrosion-resistant material and FDA-listed materials for wetted parts, Short measured value reaction time, 0.3 sec
  • No need for recalibration after replacing electronics
  • Automatic self monitoring of electronics
  • Build up compensation
  • Various process connections available, also suitable for hygienic applications
The Endress+Hauser Multicap DC Probes are designed for continuous level measurement and limit detection, primarily in liquids. The DC 11 and DC 16 rod probes are also suitable for use in light bulk solids. The probe rod or rope and associated insulation are made of corrosion-resistant materials able to withstand extremely aggressive products. The tried-and-tested rugged construction is gas-tight for pressures from vacuum to 100 bar. Seal and insulation materials enable probes to be used at operating temperatures in the vessel of -80 °C to +200 °C.
  • Probes have universal use with versions for a wide range of applications
  • Reliable function even with condensation
  • Active build-up compensation for limit detection
  • Accurate switch point

Scientific Instruments Liquefied Gas Gauging System

img   The Scientific Instruments Inc. Model 6290 Tank Gauging System is capable of providing automatic continuous level gauging, temperature monitoring, and density measurement of liquid media. These measurements are achieved by means of a PC-based control unit and an electromechanical drive mechanism, which operates as a unit to position a multi-sensor probe assembly suspended within the liquid storage tank. The system can accommodate LNG, propane, butane, ethane, or any similar cryogenic media. The probe is moved vertically by the drive mechanism in response to commands generated by the control unit. Both automatic and manual control of the probe assembly is incorporated into the system design. All system components, which are located inside the tank, can be completely removed from the tank for inspection and/or maintenance at any time. Probe position, temperature and density readings are displayed continuously to the operator at the control unit via an alphanumeric display.
